Melinda Lee has 25 years experience in the area of psychology (with over 20 of those years as a registered Psychologist) and has worked in Northern Territory and South Australia.
As a Clinical Psychologist, Melinda uses evidence-based approaches such as “talking therapies” to assist with understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Melinda’s areas of interests include: Depression; Loss and Grief; Anxiety and Phobias; Trauma; Chronic Illness.
Melinda’s philosophy is to work with you, your General Practitioner and other relevant services, to assist you to maintain your well-being. When working with you, Melinda’s Psychological service is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act (1988).
Referrals can be received from your General Practitioner via the Better Access in Mental Health Care Initiative or you can self-refer privately or with private health insurance.
Melinda has been involved in the implementation of counselling programs (e.g. Mental Health Programs in General Practice in both Northern and Western Metropolitan Regions of Adelaide; specialised counselling program in Child, Adolescent, Mental Health Services). Melinda has also been involved in providing training on a variety of topics in the area of Psychology, and research.
Melinda is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and Member of the Clinical College of the APS. Melinda is the Allied Health Member for the Northern Adelaide Clinical Council, Adelaide PHN.
Melinda consults at Two Wells Medical Clinic on Thursdays between 9am-5pm and also consults at another general practitioner clinic in Salisbury.
