Dr. Stephen Salagaras (MBBS Adelaide)
Is a caring patient centered Doctor with a broad knowledge base who graduated from Adelaide University in 1976. His postgraduate training covers Respiratory, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Neonatology, Rehabilitation Medicine and Mental Health.
Stephen established his Two Wells Practice in 1980 following his marriage to Sandra. They have been active members of the local community raising 4 children who all attended the local school, church, sporting clubs and are involved in various volunteer organisations.
Stephen enjoys helping patients with all aspect of their medical care and enjoys working in a multidisciplinary model with specialist and allied health care providers. He is recognised as a Titled Clinical Educator by both Adelaide and Flinders Universities. Stephen is currently a member of the Sonder’s Northern Regional GP Council.
Outside of work Stephen enjoys his grandchildren visiting, home renovations, gardening and is famous for his preserved olives and Greek cooking.

Darren Davey – Physiotherapist

Darren graduated as a physiotherapist from the University of South Australia in 1992, now having over 25 years experience as a full time physiotherapist. Being a farmer’s son from Yorke Peninsula he has a passion for providing physiotherapy services to rural communities and has worked at Whyalla, Port Lincoln and Clare before consolidating his business, Physio Prime at Balaklava, Two Wells and Prospect. He has also spent six months working for the National Health Service in the United Kingdom. Earlier in his career he enjoyed participating as a player and team physiotherapist for numerous Australian Rules football clubs throughout rural South Australia and has had extensive experience both personally and professionally with sports injury.
He has a special interest in Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and has extensive knowledge of Orthopaedic surgical procedures through his rapport with local surgeons and specialists. Darren’s other passion is assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of spinal pain and injury with a focus on education and self management to reduce injury reoccurrence. Back and neck pain is something quite prevalent in rural communities and Darren is able to provide manual handling training to individuals or groups and is often asked to provide workshops to employer groups in the Adelaide Plains area.
Darren is a registered physiotherapist but is also a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. He attends regular updates and workshops run by the association to ensure that he remains fully educated and at the forefront of physiotherapy assessment, technique and procedure.
Darren is keen to set an example for an active lifestyle and now enjoys sports such as running, bike riding, water and snow skiing usually with his young family not far behind him. His other interests include home renovation and motor sport. He always makes time for good food, good friends and family.

Melinda Lee – Psychologist

Melinda Lee has over 25 years experience in the area of psychology (with over 20 of those years as a registered Psychologist) and has worked in Northern Territory and South Australia.
As a Clinical Psychologist, Melinda uses evidence-based approaches such as “talking therapies” to assist with understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Melinda’s areas of interests include: Depression; Loss and Grief; Anxiety and Phobias; Trauma; Chronic Illness. Melinda is also an Outreach Provider with Open Arms Veterans and Families Counselling Service.
Melinda’s philosophy is to work with you, your General Practitioner and other relevant services, to assist you to maintain your well-being. When working with you, Melinda’s Psychological service is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act (1988).
Referrals can be received from your General Practitioner via the Better Access in Mental Health Care Initiative or you can self-refer privately or with private health insurance.
Melinda has been involved in the implementation of counselling programs (e.g. Mental Health Programs in General Practice in both Northern and Western Metropolitan Regions of Adelaide; specialised counselling program in Child, Adolescent, Mental Health Services). Melinda has also been involved in providing training on a variety of topics in the area of Psychology, and research.
Melinda is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and Member of the Clinical College of the APS. Melinda has been appointed as an Allied Health Member for the Northern Adelaide Clinical Council, Adelaide Primary Health Network.
Melinda consults at Two Wells Medical Clinic on Thursdays between 9am-5pm and also consults at another general practitioner clinic in Salisbury.
